Courtney, Brian’s wife, joined Marchetti Wood on a consulting basis in 2018. By 2019, Courtney decided it was time to transition from her role as a lawyer and manager in a 50+ member law firm in upstate New York to instead put down roots in Tucson. While Courtney has successfully worked remotely and commuted to New York since moving to Tucson in 2009, the strong desire to continue helping others locally prompted her decision to join Marchetti Wood full time in 2019.

After completing her undergraduate education at Mount Holyoke College with a major in Sociology and a minor in History, Courtney continued her studies at Albany Law School. While in law school, she participated in moot court activities, a judicial clerkship, and always maintained part-time work in assorted legal settings.
Courtney brings almost two decades of legal experience, including extensive deposition practice in orthopedic medicine and occupational illness claims, as well as written advocacy at both the trial and appellate level. Her broad exposure to medical professionals has resulted in a strong familiarity with a myriad of medical conditions both physical and emotional. At the same time, her constant interaction with people in need has created a steadfast connection between her mindset and her heart, manifesting in a genuine philosophy of helping others.
From a very early age, Courtney has enjoyed owning, riding and showing horses. She has also served as a member on the board of directors for Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT), and continues to be an advocate for equine activities and their contribution to a successful healing process.
